Joining LON-CAPA

There are essentially two ways of joining the LON-CAPA: running your own system or buying hosting.

Running your own server: You can run your own server in the network. You will need to provide hardware and maintenance for the system.

Hosting: Hosting may be a good option if you are unable or unwilling to run your own system, or if you just want to try out the system and see if it meets your needs. Hosting companies may have different prices for K-12 and higher education.

Either way, your institution might want to consider joining the LON-CAPA Academic Consortium, which allows you to influence the further development of the system.
